What Makes us different
We know we can't make your child do anything they don't want to do and we let them know we understand that. We are asking them to be at their most vulnerable and show us their struggles. This takes trust and respect. We start by making an authentic connection with each individual learner. Over time, they come to realize that we are valuable advocates for them. Our goal is to work collaboratively with parents and teachers through open, honest communication.
We adapt our teaching style to the emotional and intellectual needs of each learner. One in three children with dyslexia also lives with ADD/ADHD. Our children are coping with anxiety, low self-esteem, and even depression. Our tutors have many teaching techniques to address these challenges and are committed to social-emotional learning. At Mindguide, we address the needs of the whole child, putting mutual respect, trust and compassion first and constantly adapting to meet students' needs.
We strive to meet our students wherever they are and to make each lesson engaging and fun. Mindguide Learning will always bring levity and humor to subjects that have a potential to be boring for children. The joy comes in the form of interesting tools, colorful markers, building blocks, card games, or even toy monsters!
